Eyewitnesses in the Bible

Peter and many of the biblical authors were eyewitnesses. They saw with their own eyes, and they testified.

INTRODUCTION

People sometimes claim that the Bible is based on hearsay or legends passed down for decades.

However, the Bible tells us otherwise. Peter and many of the biblical authors were eyewitnesses. They saw with their own eyes, and they testified.

In other cases, the biblical author was an earwitness. They heard the voice of the LORD God.

Or in still other cases, the biblical author went straight to the witnesses. They interviewed the people who experienced the great biblical events. They ignored hearsay and legend.
