A superstitious subculture has arisen, where the number 6-6-6 itself is viewed as dangerous. However, that perspective is not biblical. Instead, it is based on fear.

Some Greek manuscripts say the number is 6-1-6.

In the larger perspective, it is not the number itself that matters, Rather it is what the number stands for.

In the Old Testament, “666” is used in reference to money. And in the Book of Revelation, “666” is the number of the beast.
