Satan is the Accuser
The word “Satan” means “accuser” in Hebrew. Satan is the accuser. He constantly blames others for his own misdeeds.
INTRODUCTION
Many of us know somebody who constantly accuses other people for the things that go wrong in their own life.
What they are dong is blaming. Scapegoating. Such a person can be referred to as an accuser.
Accusers are never finished. In the biblical narrative, with their nonstop arguing and complaining, accusers are bad guys.
For his part, Satan accuses day and night. He never stops accusing.
BIBLE VERSES
Ezra 4:6. In the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
Zechariah 3:1. He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the LORD’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.
Mark 15:3. The chief priests accused him of many things.
Revelation 12:10. I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
