The Eagle and Child Pub

|

Some very famous Christian writers have gathered at the Eagle and Child pub, including C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams and Hugo Dyson. We want to visit this place!

The Eagle and Child pub is in St Giles’, Oxford, England. It is owned by St. John’s College, Oxford. The pub had been part of an endowment belonging to University College since the 17th century.

Some very famous Christian writers used to gather there on Mondays or Tuesdays, in a private lounge at the back of the pub known as the Rabbit Room. The writers included C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams and Hugo Dyson.

For that reason, we would like to visit the Eagle and Child pub.
