The Kingdom of God is not a denomination or a culture. It is not a religion or a political movement or a culture war. Rather it is within you.

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION

 

The Lord Jesus Christ did not build an earthly kingdom.

Yet most of his followers do. They build denominations that are like empires. Then they argue incessantly about how their empire is superior to other empires.

However, the Kingdom of God is not an empire. It is not a denomination or a culture.

It is not a religion or a political movement or a culture war.

Rather the Kingdom of God is within you.

 

BIBLE VERSES

 

Psalm 84:1. How lovely are your dwellings, LORD of Hosts!

Matthew 10:7. As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’

Luke 17:21. neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”

John 18:36. Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
