The Lord Jesus is the great Shepherd

The Lord Jesus is the great Shepherd. He lays down his life for his people. He knows them, and they know him.

 

 

Psalm 23:1. The LORD is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.

Isaiah 63:11. Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them?”

John 10:11. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 10:14. I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own.

Hebrews 13:20. Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

1 Peter 5:4. When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.
