We believers are to be the servants of everyone

|

Christians often act as though they are lords and masters. But the Bible calls us to be the least of all people. And the servants of everyone.

And when we have done as God leads, we have nothing to brag about. We are simply lovers of God who did as our Lover inspired us to do.

Genesis 33:5. He lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, “Who are these with you?” He said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”

Leviticus 25:55. For to me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy 10:8. At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to stand before the LORD to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.

2 Samuel 8:6. Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.

Luke 17:10. Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’ ”

Galatians 5:13. For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Galatians 6:10. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
