A new king writes his own copy of the Law

The Law required that the new king write his own copy of the Law. He was to carry it with him all the time. And he was to read from it every day of his life.

INTRODUCTION

The Law required that the new king write his own copy of the Bible. He was to carry it with him all the time. And he was to read from it every day of his life.

The king was to embark upon a lifelong Bible Reading Project. In our lives, we too should want to read the Bible every day!

Some of the kings were illiterate. They could not have followed this command. For that reason alone, they should not have been chosen as king.
