There’s a fire that burns within us believers. It burns with love for Jesus Christ and the Bible. It prompts us to read the Bible each day.
We spend time in the Bible, reading and thinking and praying. Some people call that a “devotional” time. It is a key part of our love-relationship with Jesus Christ.
We usually don’t cover much ground. Our intent is pretty mild: just a chapter a day. Our “attendance” isn’t bulletproof. We don’t get upset if we miss a day now and then.
We invite you to share this daily time in the Bible with us.
Some people might scoff that it’s not “zealous” enough. However, we’d rather go slow enough to be able to go deep. And to keep it up for years. Or better yet, for decades.
We let it be flexible enough that if we get behind, we can zoom through whatever we need to, in order to catch up.
For this prayer time, we almost never consult commentaries. We almost never look up interpretations from scholars. This is prayer, not study or academia. It’s to be a joy, not a burden.
SOW THE WORD OF GOD IN YOUR HEART. In the course of a year, we’ll read about 300 chapters! In about five years, we’ll read the entire Bible – including the Orthodox and Catholic books.
OUR PACE IS ACHIEVABLE. Our modest reading pace of a chapter a day is an easy commitment.
START AT ANY TIME. Don’t worry about starting from the beginning of the Bible and trying to catch up. You can join the program at any time.
