Based upon Augustine Ichiro Okumura – a Haiku poem
I wrote this Haiku poem after an arid session of Contemplative Prayer.
I can’t pray today
I just don’t have it in me
But I wish I could
Pray in me, O God
Your Holy Spirit within
Intercede for me
I’ll sit quietly
I’ll try to not walk away
And trust you to work
It’s not my doing
Success or failure in prayer
You are the do-er
