Sweet Victory at a Remote Village in India

[Adventures in Faith: Japan; the late 1980s] After open-air preaching in a popular location called Shinsaibashi, our next open-air preaching destination was Tsuruhashi.
[Adventures in Faith: Japan; 1991] We did volunteer work at a shelter for homeless men. It had the most beautiful chapel I’ve ever seen.
[Adventures in Faith: Japan; 1991] We went to a place where thousands of men hoped to get hired as Day Laborers. A man from the crowd punched me and knocked me out. Then the man was abducted.
[Adventures in Faith: Japan; 1991] After I witnessed a murder, we fled to a safe place. After several days, we had clarity about our next steps.
[Adventures in Faith: Japan; the late 1980s] Tom and I went on another three-day faith journey. We brought no money and no bag. Things went quite badly.

[Adventures in Faith: Japan; 1991] One cold winter night I was with other homeless men around a fire, singing songs. Suddenly, one of them murdered the man right next to me.
