Does the LORD God heal our illness?

The Bible seems to promise healing of our illnesses. We should expect miraculous healing. It should be commonplace.

But it is not.

Why?

Christian believers have all sorts of explanations. Most blame the person who is not healed, accusing them of not having enough faith.

Yet under scrutiny, the Christian explanations do not make sense. Here are five major problems:

PROBLEM 1

Many instances of authentic healing took place during the days of the Old Testament. Therefore faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is not a prerequisite.

PROBLEM 2

In the days of the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, he didn’t heal everyone who believed in him.

PROBLEM 3

In at least one instance, the Lord Jesus Christ said the healing was due to the person’s faith.

PROBLEM 4

Many godly Christians die of a disease. Even great heroes of the faith die of diseases.

PROBLEM 5

Many Christians receive the anointing spoken of by James. They act in good faith. Yet they are not healed.

QUESTION

Do you believe the LORD God will heal your illnesses?
