Has the Holy Spirit given you the ministry gift of Contributing? It is to minister to others by giving money to people who need it.
IN THE BIBLE
Romans 12:8. or he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
gives. The Greek word is μεταδιδοὺς (“metadidous”). It means to share, to offer, to impart, to bestow.
1 Corinthians 13:3. If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
it profits me nothing. If we are not motivated by love, the gift of contributing will benefit nobody.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Those who have the Gift of Contributing find great joy in tithing or in contributing to the poor. Or to their church. Or mission projects. Or anything that promotes Jesus Christ.
To be capable of giving to others, one must be willing to sacrifice your own wellbeing. In that sense, selfish people are not likely to receive this Gift.
Do not interpret this Gift to mean the Spirituality of Stewardship & Tithing. We are all called to biblical stewardship. And tithing. Those are key parts of discipleship.
But people with this Gift find super-great joy in it. And their act of contributing enhances the fruitfulness of themselves and others.
HOW ABOUT YOU?
QUESTION: Are you naturally generous? Are you concerned about the welfare of other people? Does giving of your Treasure fascinate you?
If so, you may well have this gift!
