Come out from among them and be separate
We are to separate ourselves from evil. We still love people in society. We just don’t take part in evil. However, Christians often get completely backwards.
INTRODUCTION
We are to separate ourselves from evil. We still love the people in the society. We just don’t take part in the evil.
However, Christians often get this backwards. Completely backwards.
Here are a few examples:
Example 1. In the United States, racism is common among believers. That despite racists being the bad guys in the Bible.
Example 2. Some Christians are antisemites. That despite antisemites being the bad guys in the Bible.
Example 3. Many Christians are sexist. Some are mysogynist. That despite the fact that there were female prophets in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Frankly, gender bias is hostile to Jesus Christ.
Example 4. In recent years, many Christians choose a lie instead of the Truth.
In all three examples, pastors and leaders and denominations are effectively doing nothing in the public sphere. They are not stopping the embrace of evil by Christians.
Sometimes the only recourse for an individual is to leave a particular denomination. The person shake the denomination’s dust from their feet and move on.
