Daniel fasts for further insight into prophecy

Daniel was among the exiles living in Babylon. In the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah, he notices a key prophecy. Needing further insight, he fasts and prays.

Here is the key Bible verse:

Daniel 9:3. I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.

to seek by … fasting. To understand an important prophecy in the Book of Jeremiah, Daniel fasted.

Might you be willing to improve your insights into biblical prophecy by fasting?

Fasting is only for those who are medically capable. Check with your health care provider. Experts say you need to be under the supervision of a doctor during the time of a fast.
