Daniel fasts for further insight into prophecy

Daniel was among the exiles living in Babylon. In the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah, he notices a key prophecy. Needing further insight, he fasts and prays. This is his first major fasting.

 


 

BIBLE VERSE

 

Daniel 9:3. I [Daniel] set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
