The Bible tells us we are saved by faith and God’s grace, and not by our own works.
It is God who saves us. We don’t save ourselves. We’re saved by God’s grace.
People urgently need to hear this. Many Christians and non-Christians duo not know this.
Our Christian leaders talk about morality or helping the poor, politics inside the church or politics in the secular realm, doing miracles or being blessed. Or merit.
Merit has nothing to do with it. Deserving has nothing to do with it. We simply didn’t deserve it.
That’s the definition of grace. God does some marvelous thing, not because we deserved it, but as a generous gift.
He did this. We did NOT do it ourselves. We didn’t save ourselves. It wasn’t our own good works or religious observances that saved us. No, what counts is what God did.
Exodus 31:13. “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths; for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
